I and the Bird: Cormorants and Darters

The new I and the Bird is published at 10,000 Birds by yours truly. The subject? Cormorants, and to a lesser extent their sister taxa the darters.
Cormorants get a bad rap for being ugly birds that eat lots of fish. It’s a shame, because they’re fascinating group with unusual biology and a pedigree that stretches back to the dinosaurs. So go check it out!
