You can probably find a neck gaiter at any store that carries outerwear. I find the fleece gaiters and balaclavas more effective than scarves since there are fewer ways for wind to leak in and heat to leak out.

@Patrick- I do remember the team deciding that the curse was less about New Jersey than about a specific New Jerseyian.

@John- A heavy coat is a pain in the butt to fly with, though if it’s as cold as it seems in the future, it’s something to consider I guess. I need to find out where I can get a stand alone gaiter. Though I suppose they’re called scarves.

@Owlman- Sapsuckers are up there, but they vamoose when we’re around. Frustrating.

I thought it was 3 degrees rather than 4, but that doesn’t make much difference. As far as preparing for the cold goes, it helps to have a heavy or wind-proof coat with a hood and combine it with a neck gaiter. A hood and neck gaiter add a lot of warmth.

Honestly, I am so behind in my own blogging, that I feel quite a bit redundant myself in recounting the days. And what’s worse is that you guys are all such excellent writers too – I can barely keep up with you all…
