February 2009: Retrospecticus
February 27, 2009
February’s the shortest month, but a lot still went on at The Drinking Bird.
I saw North Carolina’s first record of a Tufted Duck (along with nearly every other birder in the state, that thing couldn’t have been much easier).
Solved an old mystery at the museum that had bugged me for a while.
Stretched the limit of the definition of “yard”.
Reminisced about a great trip and a great scientist.
Picked up some official team gear.
And did a little birding on the side.
Hopefully the birding will start to pick up in March (though that’s what I say every year and I’m always a little disappointed), so stay tuned and thanks for reading.
