August: Retrospecticus
Well, it’s been a fun first full month for The Drinking Bird. I’d just like to thank all those who have come to my site and made something of a mild success (I expected 3 people a day, anything more is icing). Let’s step into the way-back machine and take a nostalgic look at what we’ve done. Initiate swirly dream sequence and harp arpeggios in 3…2…1….
I poked the Ivory-bill hornet’s nest again and again and again…
I finally got out birding once the shorebirds starting arriving…
I went to the coast and tried digiscoping…
I looked at the bottom of the barrel presidential candidates by their bird-worthiness, only 9 more to go (10 if Fred Thompson jumps in)…
And I still can’t stop those damn squirrels…
And there’s more to come, I’ve scarcely scraped the surface of this blogging thing and I’ve got some exciting things happening in September and beyond.
